il pleut

This is our entry in Where’s my backpack?’s Travel Theme: Rain challenge.

In September 2016, we visited the Musée du Louvre in Paris, France. One of the most popular subjects of photography there is the glass pyramid, by the architect I. M. Pei, standing in the courtyard of the Louvre Palace.  It is stunning by day and by night. We chose to photograph it at night.  Of course, the weather chose not to cooperate that night and gave us rain. Fortunately for us, the pyramid and courtyard are even more beautiful in the rain. And, also fortunately, we had thought to bring rain sleeves and umbrellas for our cameras and for ourselves.
