This is our entry this week for Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: January 28, 2018.
This photo shows an increasingly angry barefoot bride and her groom trying unsuccessfully to scatter pigeons for a wedding photo in front of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on a chilly and overcast day. Before taking this image, we saw them make at least a dozen unsuccessful runs through the disinterested pigeons. We have no idea what the bride was saying to the groom, but from the expressions and body language she shared between the runs, it was clear that the bride felt that the groom had just one job and that was to make the pigeons fly.
This photo was taken on September 19, 2016. Specs are:
Canon 100D, ISO 800, f/8.0, 1/160 sec, 40mm.
Now that’s a lot of birds around the happy couple. 😀

Love it. When I was in Paris just before Christmas, there was a couple having their pictures taken at the same place. And it was cold and gray. The bride could hardly stop shivering. 🙂

If she was like our bride, she was probably barefoot! We love taking pictures of brides having their pictures taken. 😁

I checked. Her dress was to long for me to see her feet. 🙂

Thank you! The groom will have the rest of his life to appreciate that. 😁 At least he had shoes.

Is it a tradition to be a barefooted bride! The pigeons have different interest!

I think it would have been hard for her to run in her very high heels.

Oh I see. It’s for convenience. It makes sense.
