This water buffalo was enjoying a muddy water hole in Yala National Park in southern Sri Lanka. He was only mildly interested in us as we observed him from our elevated seats in a safari jeep.
This photo was taken on February 11, 2018. The sepia tones are the actual colors. Specs are:

Excellent composition. The shadow in front almost make it look as if the buffalo is resting on a sandbank.

Yes, the angle of the sun rays threw his shadow on his reflection in the muddy water. (But no sand bank) Thanks for visiting and commenting. 😀
