Chinese New Year in Chiang Mai

This is our entry in Lost in Translation’s Thursday’s Special: Section.

Walking down a popular tourist street in Chiang Mai, Thailand, this February, we found ourselves underneath beautiful red fans and lanterns. We had walked this street before in a previous year, but this display was especially beautiful. It was most likely refreshed for the three-day Chinese New Year celebration, which had ended just three days earlier.  The image was cropped in camera.
