This is our entry in Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Take a New Photo or Photos – Any topic.
The challenge this week is “to go out and take a new photo or photos” and “have some fun with your photography.” It seemed like a good opportunity to try out our new Lensbaby Composer Pro II with Sweet 35 Optic. The sweet spot in the photo below is the Delete key, which (unfortunately) was appropriate for most of our early shots with this lens. For the conversion to black and white, we just had fun playing with the many presets available with Silver Efex Pro 2.
This handheld photo was taken on August 10, 2017, using a Lensbaby Composer Pro II with Sweet 35 Optic (lens). It was converted to black and white using Silver Efex Pro 2. Specs are:
Canon 100D, ISO 1600, 1/40 sec, 35 mm.
.
Nice picture.

Can you change the sweet spot manually? It looks like fun 🙂

The lens has a ball and socket design. The sweet spot is in the center of the optic (in “Lensbaby-speak”) and the ball joint can be shifted 15 degrees off center in any direction to move the center of the optic (and the sweet spot) around the frame. It is simular to a tilt/shift lens but much less expensive.
