This is our entry in Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: April 16, 2017.
This photo was taken in front of a closed establishment in the tourist area of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The closed door, of the corrugated steel garage door variety, appeared to hide a restaurant, since a sticker on the wall said “Preferred Restaurant.” The sign was held by a wooden statue of a Native American; this statue was paired with a wooden statue of an American Wild West cowboy on the other side of the door.

We did not see this sign again after dark, but we assume that the appropriate words on the sign (“We’re Open” when they were open or “Sorry!” when they were closed) would be lit up then. The other side of the narrow street is mirrored in the sign.
This photo was taken just before noon on February 14, 2017. Specs are:
Olympus Tough TG-4, ISO 100, f/2.8, 1/80 sec, 4.5 mm
I might think twice before eating there. 😉

Maybe that’s why we didn’t go back …

Now that would be a place I would have to check out. Great capture of the sign. 😀
