A Close Look – 52 Weeks Photo Challenge: Week 32 – Shallow Depth of Field

This is our entry in The Girl That Dreams Awake’s 52 WEEKS PHOTO CHALLENGE: WEEK 32 – SHALLOW DEPTH OF FIELD.

This photo of a lily focuses on the stigma of the pistil and the closest anthers of the filaments. The rest of the pistil, stamens, and petals are outside the depth of field.

Shallow Depth of Field

This photo was taken on October 23, 2016. For the lens used, this was the widest aperture and longest focal length at minimum focusing distance. Specs are:

Canon 100D, ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/25 sec, 55 mm
