Jama Masjid from Above

This is our entry in The Girl That Dreams Awake’s 52 WEEKS PHOTO CHALLENGE: WEEK 35 – FROM ABOVE !!.

In November 2010, we visited the Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, India, one of the largest mosques in India.  Built between 1644 and 1656, it has four towers, three domes, and two minarets, but only one tower is open to the public to climb.  We climbed that tower and took this photo of two domes from above.  One of the minarets can be seen on the far right.  The city sprawls beyond the mosque.
