We needed a close-up photo of a strawberry for a project we are doing. While we are yet to find an image we are satisfied with, the one in this photo shows our progress to date. After hours of frustration with macro lenses, extension tubes, close-up filters, and zoom lenses on our DSLR, we tried the microscope mode with focus stacking and the light ring on our Olympus TG-5. Small sensor size aside, this camera is amazing.
This photo was taken on December 2, 2017. Specs are:
Olympus TG-5, ISO 400, f/4.9, 1/60 sec, focal length 18 mm
The camera was stand-mounted with a 2 second delayed timer. It was in microscope mode with focus stacking and the optional Olympus FD-1 flash diffuser for illumination.
