This is our entry in The Daily Post Photo Challenge: Place in the World.
Riding down a country road in a busload of tourists, I briefly saw (and snapped a photo of) a still-narrower tree-lined road beyond a paint-flecked gate. As is frequently the case, I didn’t fully appreciate the image until I could see it on the “big screen.” The image is slightly soft (after all, it was taken from a moving bus) and ethereal: to me, it suggests a peaceful haven, my safe space.
