North Carolina Night Sky

We make an annual trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. For the last two years, we have been trying a little astrophotography at the beach. We use our Canon SL2 with a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 lens mounted on a tripod and triggered by a Vello intervalometer.  The following clip was made from a sequence of forty-eight 20 second long exposures at ISO 6400. The bright object in the upper half of the video is Saturn.  Watch for the shooting star in the last few seconds of the video.
