View from Elevador de Santa Justa — Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Week 1 Photo – geometry, bushes, window, brick, etc

This is our entry in Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Week 1 Photo – geometry, bushes, window, brick, etc.

The Elevador de Santa Justa in Lisbon, Portugal, carries passengers from the Baixa district below to the Largo do Carmo above.  (A photo of the elevator can be found in our earlier post Elevador de Santa Justa — Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Letter E.)  The photo below was taken just before sunset from the viewing platform on top of the elevator. Looking down on the geometric shapes of the red terracotta tiled rooftops, you can see the hats and caps of previous tourists who leaned too far over the railing without securing their headgear in the breeze.

This photo was taken on September 11, 2017. Specs are:

Olympus TG-5, ISO 800, f/4.9, 1/100 sec, 18 mm.
