Cape Lookout Lighthouse — Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Letter L

This is our entry in Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Letter L – Needs to have at least two syllables.

This is the Cape Lookout Lighthouse as seen across Onslow Bay from 17.2 km (about 10.7 miles) away in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.  This photo was taken with a digital point-and-shoot camera at its maximum focal length, resting on the railing cap of a balcony (i.e., without a tripod). Arguably not the greatest picture ever taken of this lighthouse, we were nevertheless pleased that conditions that evening allowed us to capture this soft nostalgic image.
