Monochrome Monkey

This is our entry in Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #70: Monochrome.

In February of this year, we visited the four cave temples in Badami, in the Indian state of Karnataka.  As we climbed to the site, we exchanged looks with this wistful monkey.  We each kept our distance.

Monkey on Sigiriya Rock — Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Letter Y

This is our entry in Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge — Letter Y.

This monkey was sitting on a wall near the beginning of our climb to the very top of Sigiriya Rock in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka. While we were toiling upward, he was leisurely enjoying the mid-morning snack that he had stuffed in his neck pouch.

Fellow Sightseers on the Road To Pushkar

One of the things that always astounds us as we travel in India is the number of monkeys by the roadside. This is one group we saw as we were being driven into Pushkar for the annual camel fair. It was interesting to observe that they were doing exactly what we were doing — sightseeing.
