The RMS Titanic’s Last Dock — Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Words that end in “ock”

This is our entry in Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Words that end in “ock”.

On April 10, 1912, the RMS Titanic anchored near Queenstown, Ireland, to board its last 123 passengers for its first transatlantic voyage. Two tender ships left from the dock pictured below (arguably in better condition in 1912), with 10 first- and second-class passengers in one tender and 113 third-class passengers in the other.  Ferrying was completed by 1:30 pm, and the Titanic departed.

Reflections on Oak Ridge Lake

Few images are more beautiful than a lake near sunset, ringed by tall trees and other native greenery reflected in the still water. Such a lake is Oak Ridge Lake in Oak Ridge, North Carolina.
